Veryan Palmer is a Director of The Headland, the five-star, family-owned and independently operated iconic Cornish hotel overlooking Fistral Beach. A passionate champion of independent hotels, Veryan believes their greatest strength lies in the freedom to be individual: to make bold decisions, create genuinely personal guest experiences and build businesses with a strong sense of place and purpose.
As part of the family behind The Headland, her experience spans operations, guest experience, people, brand and strategic development. She is a strong advocate for the role independent hotels play within the wider hospitality industry, and for protecting the character and personality that sets them apart. Veryan brings a practical owner-operator perspective on balancing independence and individuality with commercial performance, long-term investment and sustainable growth.
