Kerem Özerler is the co-founder and Lead Designer of Wangan Studio, an internationally acclaimed
architecture and design practice celebrated for crafting immersive hospitality, F&B, and lifestyle environments
that merge narrative-driven concepts with meticulous execution. Since co-founding Wangan in 2016, he
has shaped the studio’s creative DNA, leading the vision behind more than 80 projects across Europe,
the Middle East, and the Americas. His work is defined by a balance between emotional resonance and
uncompromising functionality, ensuring that every space Wangan delivers is as operationally sound as it is
visually compelling.
Özerler’s role centers on the creative heart of the studio. Specialising in concept development, spatial
storytelling, and design innovation, he guides every stage of the creative process—from the initial spark of
an idea and the crafting of mood and atmosphere, to the refinement of architectural details and the creation
of bespoke furniture and product designs. Under his direction, Wangan’s projects consistently embody the
studio’s signature approach: timeless aesthetics, precise craftsmanship, and a deep alignment with the
client’s brand identity.
Under his design leadership, Wangan’s work has received significant international recognition. The studio’s
accolades include the 2023 Red Dot Award: Best of the Best, the 2023 Architizer A+Awards Special Mention,
and a shortlist in the 2023 Restaurant & Bar Design Awards. In 2022, Wangan was awarded the Space Best
of Interior Design Award, adding to a portfolio of honors that reflects the studio’s global design impact.
Özerler has collaborated with an array of prestigious brands, including Raffles Hotels, Unilever, Pernod
Ricard, Leica, Nestlé, Orlebar Brown, Fabiana Filippi, and Pinko. Notable
recent works include the reimagined Mezzaluna Trattoria concept, set for an international debut in Abu
Dhabi; the refined coastal elegance of Ristorante Gina; and the atmospheric Monk Restaurant, which has
been praised for its contemporary approach to intimate dining.
