Chris Bancroft is Hotel Operations Manager at The Newt in Somerset. With 15 years of luxury hospitality experience. His career started at Northcote as an F&B assistant, before attending the tenoutoften management training course. Following this he spent 5 years at Lucknam Park where he completed the Master Innholders Aspiring Leaders Diploma and subsequently joined the opening team for The Newt in Somerset as Front of House Manager before spending 18 months as Operations Manager for the Visitor Attraction and then returning to Hotel Operations. In 2021 was awarded an Acorn Award and recognised as the GM of the Future at the Independent Hotel Show in 2023. And immensely proud to be an ambassador for both Hospitality Action and Springboard.
