Chris started his career as a food and beverage assistant at Northcote, Lancashire; before completing the tenoutoften management training programme in 2012 training across five different hotels, and disciplines over two years.

Following that Chris spent 4 years at Lucknam Park Hotel & Spa, during which time started as Assistant Manager and ended their time as Assistant Front Office Manager. In 2017, Chris completed a Master Innholders Aspiring Leaders Diploma.

Chris left Lucknam in March 2019, to join the opening team for The Newt in Somerset as Reception Manager and was subsequently Front of House Manager in May of 2019. In 2021 Chris was awarded an Acorn Award, and in late 2022 hewas promoted to Operations Manager for the Visitor Attraction, responsible for the Food and Beverage and Retail shops. Chris attended Cranfield School of Management’s Talent Development Programme in 2023 and won the Independent Hotel Show, GM of the Future in 2023. Chris is proud to be an ambassador for both Hospitality Action and Springboard.
