Alistair Sandall
Concord Hotels, he worked his way up the ladder in management positions with spells in the UK and South Africa.
He was an hotel general manager for over 20 years in both London and the provinces and specialised in new openings and refurbishments.
He “hung up his keys” in the early noughties and joined AA Hospitality Services as an hotel and restaurant inspector rising quickly to a senior inspector then Commercial Manager.
Wanting then, after nearly 12 years to spend more time at home and less eating he became Head of Professional Development at the Institute of Hospitality for c 5 years.
He is a member of the Tourism Society, a Fellow of the Institute of Hospitality, chairs the UK Hospitality Heart of England region and sits on the Advisory Board of Professional Assessment Limited – an End Point Assessment organisation.
Now, Alistair works on a freelance basis, currently with Quality International Assessment Services and consulting on F&B with Countrywide Hotels as well as some mystery guest work.
