Independent hoteliers get a voice at Independent Hotel Show 2023

Ryan MarComms

The Independent Hotel Show has partnered with Haynes MarComs to lead technology conversations with hospitality leaders at this year’s London show, with live recordings of the industry-leading Travel Market Life podcast scheduled during the event.

Haynes MarComs has been appointed a media partner at this year’s Independent Hotel Show London (Olympia London, Monday 16 and Tuesday 17 October 2023).

The only industry event dedicated entirely to the needs of luxury and boutique hoteliers, the Independent Hotel Show connects all aspects of the hospitality industry - from designers, F&B producers and technology suppliers, to general managers, and hotel owners and operators, fostering a sense of community amongst this broad hotel classification.

As part of the agreement, Haynes MarComs’ founder and director Ryan Haynes (pictured) will be chairing a session exploring the implications and opportunities of AI for the hotel sector on the Hotel Business Stage, in partnership with HotelPartner and designed by Design Command, from 3pm-3.45pm on Monday 16 October.

On Tuesday 17 October, Travel Market Life by Haynes MarComs will take over the Social Business Space with a series of interactive networking discussions - the first of its kind for IHS and the hospitality industry. The IHS London Social Business Space is in partnership with Mews and designed by New Heritage Design.

Tapping into the event’s wish for hoteliers to have an invigorating networking space, Haynes’ industry leading Travel Market Life podcast will be recording three upcoming shows and facilitating conversations covering:

  • Hotel revenue and eCommerce: featuring representatives from Journey Hospitality, Rockcliffe Hotel, and Revenue by Design (11.30am-12.30pm)
  • Recruit, reward and retain: Hospitality, the place to work: featuring Foxhills, Cafe Hustle and Momentum Recruitment (1pm-2pm)
  • Tech stack for the future: featuring RBH Hospitality Management, Point A Hotels, Zetter Hotels and HMA (3pm-4pm).

Ryan Haynes, founder and director of Haynes MarComs, said: “The needs of today’s hoteliers are diverse, and the Independent Hotel Show provides all industry suppliers and partners with a great opportunity to showcase how they can meet those needs. Our podcast takeover of the Social Business Space will tackle some of the industry’s hot topics and provide a relaxed, informal way for hoteliers to engage with their peers about news and happenings that directly impact the way they do business.”

Glenn Wallace, Event Manager of the Independent Hotel Show, said: “The Travel Market Life podcast provides wonderful insights into how hoteliers approach topics such as procurement of technology and recruitment. Putting Ryan and his team into the Social Business Space shows our commitment to providing the industry a place to connect and share their challenges in an honest, open way.”
