Independent Hotel Show Awards 2025 celebrate the best in independent hospitality
The winners of the 2025 Independent Hotel Show Awards, in partnership with Preferred Hotels & Resorts, were announced tonight at the Independent Hotel Show, celebrating excellence, creativity, and leadership across the UK’s independent hotel sector.
The evening recognised outstanding achievements from hoteliers, designers, and hospitality professionals who continue to shape the industry.
This year’s winners are:

Outstanding Contribution: Danny Pecorelli, Managing Director, Exclusive Collection

Hotel Rising Star: Alexander Williams, Senior Marketing Executive, Royal Lancaster London

Best Hotel Design : The Montenotte – Woodland Suite Experience, by Róisín Lafferty and Henry J Lyons Architects

Accepting the Independent Hotel of the Year award, Grantley Hall’s General Manager Nuno César de Sá said: “This is an incredibly special recognition for us. Our team pours passion into every detail, and this award is a testament to their dedication to creating memorable stays for every guest who walks through our doors.”
Rising Star winner Alexander Williams said: “I feel honoured even to have been shortlisted. That was a win for me. This award goes to the Royal Lancaster London and the amazing team. I’m so thankful for everything they’ve done—even considering all my wacky ideas and taking them on board!”
Juan Tudela, General Manager of The Montenotte, said: "We’re honoured to receive the 'Best Hotel Design of the Year' award at The Independent Hotel Show. The Independent Hotel Show Awards are an annual highlight of the Independent Hotel Show, in partnership with James Hallam Insurance Brokers. The event brings together thousands of hoteliers, designers, and hospitality professionals to celebrate creativity, collaboration, and progress across the independent hotel sector. The Independent Hotel Show will return on 5-6 October 2026.
