Hotel Leadership Conference announces 2027 theme and Conference Chair

MI Conference

‘Unbreakable: The Human Advantage’ has been announced as the theme for the Hotel Leadership Conference 2027, with the Master Innholders appointing Tej Walia MI, Managing Director of Foxhills Club & Resort, as Conference Chair.

Taking place on 11–12 January 2027 at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House London, the annual conference will bring together owners, operators and business leaders from across the hospitality sector to explore one of the industry's most pressing questions: how can businesses drive performance and growth while keeping people at the heart of decision-making?

The conference is unique due to the programme being created by hoteliers to ensure the conference delivers timely, relevant and impactful content for the hotel industry. Conference chair, Tej Walia wanted to create a conference that focused on not just the landscape and the behavioural changes in the industry but practical and strategic guidance on how to create a resilient people focused business.

Confirmed speakers include Karen Turton, CEO & Founder of Purple Story, Mamta Saha, Business Psychologist & Director of Mamta Saha Consulting, Scotty Mills, Global Keynote Speaker and Published Author, Kate Nicholls OBE MI, Chair of UKHospitality and Jazz and Ed Ampaw-Farr, co-founders of the U.K.-based leadership and behaviour consultancy, Be Human First.

Tej Walia MI, Managing Director of Foxhills Club & Resort and Conference Chair, said: "Hospitality has always been, and will always remain, a people business. Technology and innovation will continue to transform our industry, but our ability to build culture, inspire teams and create memorable guest experiences remains our greatest competitive advantage.”

"That's why this year's theme, Unbreakable: The Human Advantage, focuses on how businesses can build resilient teams, develop future leaders and create high-performing cultures. As our industry evolves, the organisations that succeed will be those that invest as deliberately in their people as they do in their operations.”

Any financial surplus generated by the Hotel Leadership Conference is donated to the Master Innholders Charitable Trust which helps to fund Innholder Scholarships and the Innholder Graduates Programme.

Tickets are open anyone in the industry with special rates for hoteliers and Master Innholders. To book visit the official ticketing page.
