Atlantic

Describe The Atlantic in three words

Timeless coastal elegance

What makes The Atlantic unique?

We always say we are a unique property in a unique location on a unique island. Our world class views over Jersey’s dramatic west coast with its five mile stretch of golden sand are certainly unique.

What’s the best thing about being an independent hotel?

The best thing about being an independent hotel is that you don’t have to run with the pack and you can take the long view.

What keeps guests returning to your hotel year-on-year?

When they arrive at the hotel, guests say that they chose The Atlantic because of its reputation for example or its architecture – the hotel’s exterior is reminiscent of an ocean liner – but when they leave, they always say that the best thing about the hotel is the staff. They are at the heart of what we do. It is all about people looking after people.

Why should the industry vote for The Atlantic to win Independent Hotel of the Year 2023?

It is very rare these days to find a hotel of The Atlantic’s calibre that is still in family ownership. The Atlantic Hotel has been providing a home from home to visitors to Jersey for over 50 years now, following a path of constant improvement, development and re-investment and achieving continuous growth in turnover year on year. The Atlantic excels in its bedrooms and suites, in its 4 AA rosette Ocean Restaurant, home to the annual Eat Jersey Food Festival, in its location as the only one of Jersey’s leading hotels to overlook St Ouen’s Bay, in its sustainability credentials and ambitions, in its staff development and management, and in its position as a true “ambassador” for all things which are good in the Channel Islands.
