Timna Rose, founder of studio ATARA, is a holistic interior designer and WELL Accredited Professional (WELL AP) who believes the future of hospitality lies in creating spaces that actively support human health, while meeting rigorous environmental and ESG standards. With a background in designing holistic, biophilic environments for forward-thinking businesses, she’s now bringing the globally recognised WELL Building Standard into the hospitality sector. Her mission? To show hoteliers that prioritising wellbeing isn’t just a design choice - it’s a powerful way to enhance guest experience, boost staff wellbeing, and strengthen long-term business success.

The WELL Standard evaluates buildings across ten key concepts, including air, water, light, sound and materials. They apply this evidence-based framework to deliver interiors that are both performance-driven and deeply restorative. From initial design phases, consulting on sustainable procurement, or WELL certification strategy, they bring a holistic, systems-thinking approach that merges design innovation with environmental stewardship.

Through cross-disciplinary collaboration with architects, developers, and wellness consultants, studio ATARA help organisations align their physical environments with broader goals - from health and equity to circular economy and carbon impact. They champion social sustainability as a core pillar of design while also demonstrating how health-focused, restorative environments can also contribute to measurable business benefits, including improved employee productivity, reduced absenteeism, and up to 28% increases in workplace satisfaction and performance.

Timna is passionate about holistic design as a purposeful force for good, crafting breathtaking interiors that are also resilient, responsive, and rooted in care for both people and planet.
